#504 Kathy Brown - The Teacher's Pet Trunk Show Wednesday – July 10, 7:00 pm $5/$10 at the Door
What's a southern Louisian girl doing quilting? Quilting and the heat and humidity of Louisiana seem to go together like oil and water. But here she is loving each and every minute of it for the past sixteen years. The detested sewing machine of her youth magically transformed itself into a wondrous vehicle for her creative endeavors. In addition to sitting at the sewing machine, she designs fabrics for Red Rooster Fabrics. Imagine that - getting an idea for fabrics that she'd like to quilt with, taking those images out of her head, putting them down on paper, painting them, shipping them off, and months later, turing those images into beautiful quilts when the fabric arrives. Kathy is also the author of five books and numerous leaflets and patterns. Kathy's trunk show is packed with her quilts.Come join us and be prepared to be amazed!!! This evening event is included with Housing Options A and C.
