WHAT ARE YOU WILD ABOUT?
… zebras … rainbows … the color pink! ... merry-go-rounds…tulips and roses … puppies or kittens… your grandchildren…mild-life crisis … amish quilts … your boss/spouse/kids who drive you crazy… baseball … red hot rods … chocolate … gourmet cooking … Gone with the Wind … gardens … wine … the ocean … mountains … your fabric stash … moonlight walks … what???
The 2010 CWAP Challenge is about stretching your wings and flying. Not the same old, same old stuff. If you haven’t tried a Challenge entry before, this is a good one to try. You are not limited by traditional categories – in fact, you will not be putting your entry into a category at all! The rules are simple and awards numerous, the challenge fabric is fun – and you can make any kind of quilt that you want. Give yourself permission to have fun!
Kits are now availabe at OCQG Meetings or by phone or via registration.

The Rules (for quilt creation):
- Take a walk on the wild side, and have fun!
- Make a quilt interpreting the theme of “Wild Thing” and give it a snazzy title.
- Size:

Maximum perimeter measurement of 200” (eg 50”x50”, 42”x58”, circle diameter=63”)
- Both Challenge fabrics are to be an identifiable focal element of the quilt. It need not dominate the quilt – but it should not be hidden in the background. A minimum of 12 square inches of each Challenge fabric must show on the front of the quilt; binding does not count in this tabulation.
- Quilt definition:
- two layers of fabric with soft stuff sandwiched in between,
- the whole kit and caboodle is stitched together across the face of the quilt,
- the raw perimeter is finished with binding,
- a label (minimum info: quilters name, title of quilt and date of completion) sewn to the back of the quilt,
- top must be made by entrant(s); may be quilted by another.
Deadline: quilts may be turned in at any of the OCQG general meetings up through the June 8th, 2010 meeting.
Alternatively, quilts may be brought / mailed (please call for directions) to
